Every Kid Deserves A Bike.

About Us

In 2008, brother in law’s Jason Whorton and Tommy Chavez dreamt about creating a non-profit to give back to the Tulsa community they each grew up in. With a lot of work and support from their friends and family, Humble Sons Bike Co. has been putting smiles on children’s faces ever since. They started off delivering just 22 bicycles out of the backs of their own trucks to delivering more than 1,000 annually through a network of partners.

Do you remember your first bike? No one forgets the joy of receiving their first bicycle. A bike empowers a child, giving them their first taste of true independence, self-reliance, self-esteem, and helps to build the foundation of a healthy future. Unfortunately, thousands of children may never experience these joys – their lives are not favored by fortune or circumstance and a bicycle is simply a luxury their families cannot afford.

Humble Sons Bike Co. is dedicated to providing bicycles, helmets and locks to every deserving child they can reach. With your support, you can continue to make this dream a reality for Tulsa youth. To learn more about how you can help, please visit our Donate page.

How

Humble Sons is supported by a network of generous individuals and businesses. These volunteers offer their resources and donate their time to allow us to deliver new bicycles and helmets to roughly 1,000 children annually.

We purchase new bicycles through Academy Sports and Outdoors, which assembles and stores each for shipping. Two Men And A Truck donates their moving trucks and crews to transport our bikes to area organizations for distribution. Safe Kids Tulsa Area provides the most important accessory for bicycling, a new helmet, for each of the bikes we deliver. And Tulsa Hub recycles our pre-loved bicycles and provides training for the after school bicycling programs we sponsor.
